Project description

In this project we give a survey of the literature on income, income inequality and health. We mainly refer to theoretical and empirical research in economics, but will also take a look at research in other fields. First, we focus on the relation between absolute income and health, and distinguish between the causality from income to health, from health to income, in addition to other factors that affect income and health in the same direction. Thereafter, we look at the effects of relative income on health before we end by reflecting on the relationship between economic development and health. The papers are written in Norwegian.
