Sustainable consumption, social relations and identity
|Project manager||Kjell Arne Brekke |
|Client project no.|
|Period||1.7.2002 - 31.12.2004 (ended)|
The project studies the development of identity and status norms, and the importance of such norms for sustainable development. Norms vary over time and between groups. Why is environment-friendly behavior socially rewarded in some groups, but not in others? A better understanding of these issues may be important to develop policies for a sustainable consumption path.
