Ethnic segregation in schools and neighbourhoods
|Project manager||Simen Markussen|
|Client project no.||236793|
|Period||2015 - 2018|
Project descriptionEthnic segregation in local communities and schools involves individuals and families, and their preferences and decisions on where to live and what schools to send their children to. Frisch Centre participates in the project led by the Department of Sociology and Human Geography at the University of Oslo and will contribute to empirical studies of ethnic segregation and possible effects on children's education and labor market careers. The ambition is to use detailed Norwegian registry data for the analysis of social interactions that takes into account the non-random distribution across neighborhoods and schools.
