This project aims at analyzing internalized moral motivation among consumers, focusing on certain aspects which are particularly relevant for environmental and energy policy. We will consider the role of information for morally motivated demand; the role of attitude campaigns aimed at morally motivated consumers; and compare appeals to consumers’ moral responsibility with green taxes.
