|
The main purpose is to specify and analyse major economic consequences for Japan and other industrialized countries that will be caused by the ageing populations in the coming 21st century.
The themes are to
- Explore and analyse policy measures that increase labour force participation and that reduce the burden on pension budgets under the ageing populations, using micro-econometric analyses and simulations with Norway and Italy data.
- Investigate similarities across countries with respect to how incentives affect labour market behaviour under a certain pension and tax rules.
