Project description

The research project aims at identifying destructive and constructive transitional forces at work in the early phases after a civil war. Special attention is devoted to the role of multilateral institutions and how they can help achieve a peaceful reconstruction. We strive to integrate social and economic mechanisms in a common framework. In the project we put special emphasis on how to design reform policies and aid allocations in countries with potentially destructive social forces.
